Promotion photo for Series 5 with Sunderland Point in the background
In August and September of 2023 a film crew and actors for the highly popular ITV police show ‘The Bay’ spent almost three weeks at Sunderland Point. They were filming scenes for the fifth series of the program which had been scheduled for release in the Spring of 2024. The series will now be seen on British television in March 2025.
In this gallery are photos taken by residents of the Point during the filming. The crew and cast welcomed the interest shown and were patient with explanations and the occasional selfie.
